This motherboard enhances compatibility with our EZ series drivers, while also supporting TMC drivers. Differences between SKR 3 and SKR 3 EZ Motherboards

1. Product Size:
  • SKR 3: Product size measures 110*85mm, with an installation size of 102*76mm.
  • SKR 3 EZ: Product size is slightly different at 109.7*98mm, while the installation size remains the same at 102*76mm.
2. Motor Voltage:
  • SKR 3: Supports motor voltage ranging from DC 12V to 24V.
  • SKR 3 EZ: Offers a wider range, from 12V to 48V, adjustable via a jumper cap. Higher voltage options significantly enhance printing speed. Additionally, while SKR 3 features 2 normal fans, the EZ version boasts 3, ensuring smoother printer operation and superior print quality.
3. Connection Methods:
  • SKR 3: Utilizes the driver connector for compatibility with our newly designed EZ driver.
  • SKR 3 EZ: Streamlines the process by allowing direct insertion of the EZ driver, eliminating the need for a converter. The EZ driver's design prioritizes user safety, featuring finger-friendly components to mitigate the risk of injury from sharp pin headers. Furthermore, the innovative anti-plug linker design enhances mainboard protection, addressing previous issues of driver and mainboard damage due to incorrect insertion. This upgraded driver technology ensures a safe and enjoyable user experience.

  • The thermistor's pull-up resistance value can be conveniently selected through a jumper, enabling support for PT1000 without external modules, enhancing DIY flexibility.
